Once Upon a Time I Was Afraid of Taking Two Kids to the Zoo.

Zoo Visit

Sometimes I get stuck in the thick of parenting. All I can hear is the whining, and all I see are the hands of the clock moving too slowly toward bedtime. I hate myself in these moments, and yet they are unavoidable. The time eventually does pass, and I feel infinitely guilty. I was too harsh. Too impatient. Too mean. It weighs like an elephant on my chest when we have a tough day.

All I can do is promise to be better. Try harder. LOVE harder.

And go to the zoo so much more.

p.s. Remember when I was afraid of two kids at the zoo? And then three?

What a cute little angels! I've been in the sane situation when my 2 boys just like them. I want them to always sleep so no one is fighting and whining.
But it's a part of being a mother to test our patience.

All I kept thinking while scrolling through all the pis was, "They are all so blond!" ha ha!

Good for you, Momma, you've totally got this 4 kids thing handled.

I'm visiting here from your food blog, which I found from pinterest.

Your children are adorable! And they look exactly alike...
Your oldest and 2nd are pretty much the same age as my two (Dec 06 and Feb 08).

It took me a year of my son being home before I took them anywhere by myself. Literally. I was a wreck! Now I can take 5 or 6 kids places on my own and not think twice about it. I think moms evolve like that...
