The Fountain Didn't Say to Keep Out. So We Didn't Keep Out. But Then, We Probably Wouldn't Have Kept Out Even If It Did Say To.

I am still drowning in life. But today I lost myself in a book for an hour. It's the first time I've done that in years. Literally, years. The house was dark, the baby was quiet, and I disappeared completely into someone else's world for a moment.

Hey, me? Let's do that more often.

We run a pretty tight ship around these parts. Early bedtime, learning games in the afternoon, pleases and thank yous are expected. It's no boarding school, but the kids pretty well stay in line. But even I know - everything in moderation. And sometimes even crazy screamy mom needs to eat frozen yogurt for dinner then jump in a fountain.

Okay, I didn't actually jump in the fountain.

(But I probably should have.)
