One of the Great Things About Having a Big Family? There's Pretty Much Always a Birthday to Celebrate. And We All Know I Love Birthdays!

The only thing better than a big group photo is a big group photo infiltrated by pirates. And pirates were in abundance at Jessica's mini party last week. Arrrrr. We had Curried Lentil Tomato Soup over rice and Caramel Stuffed Brownies for dessert. The brownies were a big hit.

It's easy to get caught up in the day to day and forget that you live only a dozen or so houses away from your sister and her sweet babies. But I always remember birthdays. So it's good that there are many.

Thirty one is the number for Jessica. And I hope it's as good for her as it was for me. Better, even.
