The History Center is History. Well, At Least Until The Weather Breaks.

We visited the History Center last week. Poor Kelly, it's all about the learning in this house. Unfortunately, I think the exhibits were a little over the boys' heads, and Kelly wasn't able to take in as much as I would have liked since the boys just wanted to dart from room to room.

Also, the mood was a little dampened because we parked on the sixth floor of the parking garage only to discover the elevator was broken. Yeh. Broken elevator. Three preschoolers, one angsty teen, a stroller and two blocks to walk after six flights of stairs. Okay, Kelly wasn't actually angsty. But still. I was. Needless to say, by the time we actually got into the history center, we were already kind of done.

We now have a year membership (thanks, Groupon!) that will definitely not be used again until the weather cools off. Go figure, since this place is air conditioned. But, I refuse (REFUSE) to test the elevator in this heat again. I'm pretty sure no one's going to complain.

On the plus side, our history center is in the old courthouse and the kids really loved the courtroom. Following in Mommy's footsteps, maybe?
