So, our weather here in sunny Florida went from 85 degrees to 45 degrees in a matter of days. Since the kiddos are recuperating from the flu, we've been housebound for what feels like eons. Plus, my kids loathe the cold. I'm not really sure they're even my kids. Ugh. Yesterday though, I bundled them in three layers of clothes and we hit the park. We needed it. And they had a blast.
After the park we did a Dunkin drive by, where I caught a glimpse of myself in the window and realized I'm a mom. Seriously, that's what it took to finally make it feel real. Me, in the carseat filled minivan, at the drive-thru on my phone. I wish I was kidding.
Then we picked up the Hubster and headed to Light Up UCF. It was very cold by then, and I was a little concerned that the kids would be miserable and not want to stay, but three layers of clothes seems to be the ticket. We let them each go on a ride and then we watched the skaters and ice-sliding for a while before hitting the road. Amazingly, they didn't want to leave! Which is great news for me, because I looooove Light Up UCF. So, we will return. Yay!
