I am not (not not not) a professional blogger. It's a hobby. A love note to my kids and family.
That being said, I still like to make my site the best it can be with the minimal amount of time and energy I am able to invest. I suspect most bloggers feel this way.
To that end, I've compiled a list of resources for you that have been especially helpful to me.
- from Jennifer at Playgroups are No Place for Children:
Writing Tips
Blog Promotion & Social Networking
Blog Design
Etiquette
(and she has so many more blogging tips!)
- from Jill at Scary Mommy:
Blogging Etiquette - Commenting
Turning your Blog into a Book
- from Mr. Lady at Whiskey in My Sippy Cup:
A Primer on Blogging Platforms
- from Aunt Becky at Mommy Wants Vodka:
- from Megan at Velveteen Mind:
...and because my #1 blogging rule is to never write a post without a visual (it's a personal thing. I big puffy heart love looking at pictures. mine and yours.) I will leave you with a snapshot of my newest Etsy listing.

I am loads and loads of interested in all of this... Thanks for compiling this list and links too. This is a welcome distraction to my stalking young Olympic athletes online. Muah! Love you.
Oooh, good compilation! I will check them out when the kiddo goes down for a nap.
And super cute face puffs!
The puffs look GREAT!!
Thanks for gathering all this together. It seems like the more I learn, the more I realize there's more to learn! I think I need a cute face puff to keep me from getting overwhelmed. =>
Thank you so much for including me on that--- I love the other links you shared! They're some of my favorites!
And, your etsy listing? TOO freaking cute!!!
