We have several kid "computers" that Casey absolutely adores.
I think they're great because he's learning and enjoying himself. I
worry sometimes, though, that he's too "plugged in" at such a young age.
What do you think? Is he gaining valuable (and necessary) skills?
Or am I being a lazy parent? Maybe a little bit of both? (Please be nice...)

I think it's great. In moderation.
Balance in all things, and hey sometimes momma needs a rest. I used all kinds of diversions when I needed time!
I have taught myself not to worry about it too much. Mine are older, but as long as they did their homework, did some reading, got some exercise and helped around the house, I don't limit screen time too much. I find that after 30 minutes or so they get up and look for something else to do anyway.
I worry sometimes too because my 4yo spends a LOT of time on the computer playing games at disney, nickelodeon, and pbssprout. But you know what, I'm so proud of her for teaching herself so much on the computer and honestly, I feel like it is a necessary skill for their generation. So more power to them!
he's just taking after his daddy ;)
I figure, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, problem solving ... every kid needs practice at these! (And every mommy needs a break now and then.) =>
I feel guilty when X is 'plugged in' so much too - it's always something educational, but I get concerned that he won't learn to entertain himself.
But, as noted, mamas need breaks. And we're always going to feel guilty about SOMETHING ;)
