Dear Writers and Producers of "Go Diego, Go"

***Ok, I had no intention of posting tonight. I was going to do other very productive things watch television and eat junk food. However, after reading an educational text book watching "Go Diego, Go" with my kids before bed, I felt compelled to write.***

Dear Writers and Producers of "Go Diego, Go",

My kids love your show. Amazingly, I find the show remarkably tolerable and *generally* don't mind watching it with them before bedtime.

I think it's nice the kids in your show look like real kids; they're not emaciated, wearing makeup or sporting purple hair. GOOD.

I like that the show is fast paced and colorful. GOOD.

I appreciate when new words are introduced in both English and Spanish. GOOD.

And I especially love that it's an educational show teaching kids about various species of animals like the jaguar, the chinchilla and the manatee. GOOD.

My very favorite thing, though, is that you take it's role as an entertaining, but educational, show seriously. You don't get all crazy with the content and write episodes clearly designed to completely and utterly confuse children. You wouldn't produce a story called "Manatee's Mermaid Rescue!" about saving stranded mermaids... and you would never explain to children that manatees magically transform into mermaids to become the 'heroes of the sea'.

That would be ridiculous. Phew. GOOD.

Sadly, it usually is the shows with emaciated, makeup-wearing, purple-hair-sporting kids that are the most realistic... ;)

Ahh! I am so glad I'm not the only one that saw last night show. What were they thinking, I'm glad this is very un-typical of them
