No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem.

Washing the Car and Drawing on the House

You know what's a royal pain?  Putting shoes on kids.  You know what's a royal waste of time?  Putting shoes on kids in Florida.  You know what I don't do?  Put shoes on my kids.

I just don't.

I mean don't get me wrong, we're not hoofing it at the gas station - but if my kids want to run out into the yard to play, they just go. It's Florida, folks.  They will survive stepping on a rock.  I promise.

Drives people crazy, but my kids don't even own their first pair of shoes until they've proven to me that they're established walkers.  I won't waste my money buying them or my time putting them on.

Plus, what's life if you can't feel the grass under your feet or the mud between your toes?

(And, yes.  Casey is wearing shoes in these pictures.  But they're flops.  That he put on by himself.  So they totally don't count.)

HOW is your baby girl so big already? And yeah, shoes aren't really needed around here either... I get it!

Personally I hate shoes. If it wasn't NYC where you'd get a syringe stuck in your foot if you walked around bear foot I wouldn't bother either

Haha, putting shoes on kids really IS the worst! I don't know why but my 3-year-old insists on making gibberish sounds and trying to touch my face (like with an airplane hand) while I do it. Drives me nuts! I long for summer when they can just handle flip flops themselves. Cute pictures!
