It Was the Worst of Times. It Was the Best of Times.

Playing on the Patio

On Tuesday afternoon, I got the call every parent dreads. "Stephen was in an accident. He's being taken to the hospital. A police officer is on his way to pick you up." When I got there it was even worse. "Bilateral skull fractures. Lacerations to the bone. Reconstructive plastic surgery."

It was the worst of times.

But, today. Mother's Day. He's home. "No brain hemorrhaging. No brain swelling. He's defying the odds."

It was the best of times.

Oh my! How awful. What happened? Who else was in the accident? Your hubby?

I am so glad that he is doing better. How scary for you.

Will hold you all in my thoughts and prayers.
