Oh, By the Way, Did You Hear I Had Another Birthday?

Usually for my birthday we have a barbecue and invite lots and lots of friends over to shower me with SO much love. This year, though we have been super busy with Sally's wedding festivities (plenty more on that to come), and my parents totally bailed on me (I know, LAME), so Wesley suggested we celebrate by hitting up Disney. (Specifically my most favoritist of parks, EPCOT).
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
Geared up in Florida Gator orange, courtesy of my dad's obsession with polo shirts on sale. They look cute though, right? Of course they do, you don't have to answer that.
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
Florida Gator orange is not only stylish, it's easy to spot in a crowd. Which is kind of key for us. You know, since they're really good at the whole 'duck and weave' maneuver.
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
Waiting for frozen lemonade before we hit up Mexico for burritos and a boat ride.
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
Two (minor) disappointments: 1. In typical theatrical I WILL DIE A PAINFUL FIERY DEATH IF YOU PUT ME ON THAT BOAT three year old fashion, Casey flat out REFUSED to get on the ride and 2. the Mexico burrito stand was closed for refurbishing. No worries, though, Jonathan, Stephen and I enjoyed our river boating and then we headed off to the dinosaur show before finding dinner in Morocco.
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
Casey and Jonathan enjoyed (pre-made) pasta (from home) on boring parts of the dinosaur ride (can you believe, Casey was totally into the animatronic dinosaurs that roar and spit on you in the dark, but he wouldn't go on a boat ride with singing Donald Duck?!?) and then we headed to Marrakesh for some amazing (AMAZING) lamb, chicken, couscous, tabouli and bread for Mom & Dad. (And rolls for the kiddos). (And beer for Mom & Dad).
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
Seriously, if you're looking for reasonably priced food (and LOTS of it), Morocco take out is the way to go. It's delicious. I want it again just looking at these pictures. Once upon a time they had the same kind of thing outside Mexico (BURRITOS!), but it's closed for refurbishing (you know, like I said above) (in case you weren't reading closely) (that's why I said it twice).
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
After dinner the boys played dinosaurs in the bushes while we waited for fireworks. Because that's what they do. Pretty much everywhere.
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
Totally not a good picture of me, but HELLO, how cute is Stephen???
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
Awwwwwww.
Epcot for Mommy's Birthday!
It was really really hot and muggy. But not crowded at all. I will TOTALLY take hot and muggy over crowded. TOTALLY.
Reflections of a Sleepy Baby
On the way back to the car I stopped to reflect on a lovely birthday celebration. I know, I'm sooooo punny.

Yay, you, for having the energy to take all those little ones there! And, I have to agree...Moroccan is awesome (sigh...haven't eaten it in years, though...Finland isn't exactly an international food hotspot ;D)

Great pix...thanks for sharing your wonderful birthday!

My husband and I will totally be there in November. His company takes us all on a trip every other year, so hurray to Orlando, Florida! :)
