Picnics are Spectacular! Weaning? Not So Much.

On Friday, we picnicked... TWICE!

In the late morning the little guys and I met up with my good friend Elaine and her twin girls, Nicole (Coco) and Taylor (TayTay). Casey is so desperately in love with them. The boy who cannot stand to holds hands with anyone (thou shalt not restrain thy two-year old!) let the girls lead him around by the hand for three hours. It was a great time and the weather was perfect. Casey left lunch a blissful little boy.

In the evening Hubs decided he Needed. To. Get. OUT. So we picked up subs and lo mein from the grocery store and headed to UCF with my (pregnant, yay!) sister and brother-in-law. The weather was still outstanding and, of course, the company was pretty good too!

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind and encouraging words about weaning. Well except my (pregnant, yay!) sister, who said the post was 'disgusting'. Hah. Don't worry, Jess, you'll get yours. As for an update, well, it's going. It's been more emotionally taxing than I expected, especially when JJ makes it clear that he really really really wants to nurse. But, it's time, and we'll all survive.

At present, my boobs look an awful lot like Kristen's because the right one just isn't getting the 'no more milk, please' message. Hubs put it so tactfully when he said 'you're sporting a light-weight and a heavy weight.' He was watching Million Dollar Baby when he said it, so I guess I can forgive him.

I know the pain of engorgement. But I have to ask, why must the boobies deflate around the weaning is done? They are just perky, full and pretty and then well, you know.

I didn't say disgusting....just not something I would post for the world ; ) But you are right...things may change once I am there. As for the disgusting statement that was referencing a post on a completely different blog...lol. I still feel bad for your weaning experience and deflated boob.
Love,
your (pregnant yay!) sister

Yay for picnics and nice weather and boys hanging with girls and wanting to hold hands without fear of cooties!! Good news, my milk dried up fairly quickly, so maybe yours will too. Though during the process it seemed to take a year and a half it was more like a week and a day and only about 3 days of seriously painful engorgement. Very Angry looking boobies and I was told very lopsided. Yup one of my girls was definatly larger than the other also. Guess one is just the go too milk bag?? I dunno. Stay strong, you will both get through this relatively unscathed and YAY for the pregnant sister, too bad we didn't get any photographs of her or does she not allow that?? LOL!

It is hard, you sound very stable! I had the same problem with an over-producing left boob that would not let the issue go...
